Primary Election Day!

Alaska’s primary election is Tuesday, August 18, and your vote matters. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and if that day doesn’t work for you, early and absentee voting are available in the weeks leading up to the election. In the primary, every candidate appears on the same ballot no matter their party, and you pick one, so this is your chance to help decide who moves forward to November. If you’re voting absentee by mail, make sure your ballot is postmarked by Election Day. Check your registration and find polling locations at elections.alaska.gov, then make a plan to vote.
